Hand and Upper Extremity ResearchThe UAB Section of Hand and Upper Extremity provides comprehensive hand, upper extremity and microvascular surgery services. Research is not only fueled by faculty discoveries but also through two fellowship-trained hand surgeons that investigate a broad range of conservative and surgical treatments and ways to improve these procedures. Overall, the section aims to improve the patient experience with hand surgery, looking for new ways to improve existing surgeries and tapping into brand new procedures through pivotal research.
