The 17th Annual Spring Scramble 5K

Race starts at 6:30 p.m.
On May 20, the UAB Pediatrics Residency Program will be putting on the 17th annual Spring Scramble 5K Road Race. The Spring Scramble 5K is one of several community outreach programs organized by the UAB Pediatrics Residency Program through our Community, Outreach and Advocacy Program (Coat of Arms). The race in 2023 marks our 17th year and we are thankful for the support of the local running community, Children's of Alabama, and our sponsors for making our event a success!
In addition to promoting healthy choices among our community's youth, our goal is to raise funds to directly support the health and well-being of the children in our community.
Race registration, packet pickup, door prize giveaways and activities begins at 4 p.m., and the race will start promptly at 6:30 p.m.
The race will be followed by live music, games, and door prizes!

Cost to register for the race is $35.
Beneficiary
The Spring Scramble helps promote the health and well-being of the Birmingham area's children. This year, the funds will go toward our resident-run community outreach and advocacy organization, the Coat of Arms. The group's efforts are numerous including: local health fairs, Reach Out and Read, infant safe sleeping initiatives, and holiday gift drives. Funds help to provide much-needed items such as books and helmets to our patients in primary care settings.
