Biography
Dr. Blessing Falola is a board certified child and adolescent psychiatrist and general psychiatrist. She is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Psychiatry and Neurobiology at the University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB) and serves as the Director of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Fellowship Program and Co-Director of First Episode Psychosis Clinic.
Her clinical interests include child and adolescent mental health, and transitional age youth mental health including first episode psychosis and college student mental health. She was the inaugural psychiatrist at the UAB Student Health Services. Dr. Falola is an avid clinician educator who is actively engaged in medical trainee education, has developed innovative simulation-based teaching methods. Given her teaching efforts, she has received the UAB Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Faculty Teaching Excellence Award.
