Requests for observation opportunities for pre-health students will be streamlined through the Physician Scientist Development Office. Students will complete an online UAB Medicine Observer Interest Form requesting an observation opportunity.

All other physician observation requests will be managed through the Medical and Dental Staff Office. To begin the review process, email MDSOCredentialing@uabmc.edu. Perioperative/HVC Procedural areas have separate observation policies. Please route those requests to Brenda Carlisle via email at bcarlisle@uabmc.edu. All other observation requests can be forwarded to Chief Nursing Officer Terri Poe at terripoe@uabmc.edu.
