|Jillian R. Richter, Ph.D. received her B.S. and M.S. degrees (Biomedical Engineering) from North Carolina State University and her Ph.D. degree (Biomedical Engineering) from Wake Forest University. She completed an NIH T32 post-doctoral fellowship at the University and Cincinnati and joined UAB’s Department of Radiology as a post-doctoral fellow in August of 2013. She is currently investigating novel strategies for targeted delivery of diagnostic agents to aid in the detection and localization of prostate and breast cancer. Her broader research interests include the use of biomaterials as a platform for guiding tissue repair and regeneration through the delivery of therapeutics following trauma and/or disease.
