Pradeep Bhambhvani, M.D. is a graduate of the Lokmanya Tilak Municipal Medical College, University of Mumbai, India. He is presently section chief of General Nuclear Medicine in the Division of Molecular Imaging & Therapeutics and Associate Professor of Radiology at the University of Alabama at Birmingham.

After completion of an Internal Medicine residency from Columbus Hospital, (now Resurrection Health Care), an affiliate of Northwestern University Medical School, he served as its chief medical resident and junior faculty in Internal Medicine. He then went on to spend six years practicing community Internal Medicine in Northwest Indiana.

In 2006 after finishing a Nuclear Medicine residency from the David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA, Dr Bhambhvani was appointed Assistant Professor in the Division of Nuclear Medicine, Department of Molecular and Medical Pharmacology at UCLA. He is certified by both the American Board of Internal Medicine and Nuclear Medicine.

At UAB he has established himself as a Clinician-Educator in Nuclear Medicine with expertise in radionuclide therapies, cardiac and oncologic nuclear imaging. Dr. Bhambhvani has also authored peer reviewed publications, book chapters and scientific exhibits in national and international meetings like the SNMMI, RSNA and AUR. As member of the Society of Nuclear Medicine and Molecular Imaging, he is actively involved in the General Clinical Medicine and Academic councils.
