Mark C. Langston, M.D. completed medical school at the Medical College of Georgia before moving to Birmingham, AL for radiology residency and musculoskeletal imaging fellowship at the University of Alabama. Following training he worked a brief stint in private practice before the love of teaching drew him back to the academic setting. He has served on the faculty at UAB Radiology since 2005 during which time he has received multiple awards for outstanding teaching of everyone who will listen, including medical students, medical technologists, radiology residents/fellows, and seasoned physicians at national meetings. Dr. Langston has served in leadership roles for the medical school and the radiology department including positions as Associate Radiology Residency Program Director, Chair of Radiology Resident Selection Committee, UAB Heersink School of Medicine Student Academic Standing Committee Member, and Radiology Medical Student Education Committee Member.
Dr. Langston can be found dividing his time between musculoskeletal imaging and PET imaging. His main interests center around educating physicians at all career levels.
