Program Overview

Diagnosis and management of rheumatic diseases remain challenging issues for both primary care physicians and rheumatology specialists. In the U.S., rheumatic diseases are prevalent and are responsible for increased work and functional disability. This course is designed to provide clinicians with up-to date information regarding the most recent advances in the diagnosis and treatment of rheumatic diseases including systemic lupus erythematosus, rheumatoid arthritis, gout, osteoporosis, giant cell arteritis/polymyalgia rheumatica, osteoarthritis, psoriatic arthritis, systemic sclerosis, myositis, managing pain, and performing common injection techniques.
