Biography

Dr. Crivelli is a fellowship-trained endourologist and assistant professor of Urology at the University of Alabama at Birmingham Heersink School of Medicine. He specializes in the evaluation and treatment of complex kidney stone disease.

Research Interests

• Dietary interventions for secondary prevention of kidney stone disease

• Epidemiology of kidney stone disease, with a focus on social determinants of health and health disparities

• Pathophysiology of kidney stone disease, particularly the contributions of dietary oxalate and oxalate precursors 

• Effectiveness of pharmacological therapy for secondary prevention of kidney stone disease
