Chris Hastings and Will Ferniany, Ph.D. The Junior Board of Visitors of the University of Alabama at Birmingham School of Nursing will host the 2021 No-Show Ball on Nov. 14 from 5:30-6:30 p.m. Participants will enjoy a live cooking demonstration from awarding-winning chef Chris Hastings.
The livestream fundraiser supports lifesaving pediatric nurses through the board’s Endowed Nursing Scholarship. Along with the cooking demonstration, participants will receive a three-course dinner menu with Hastings’ recipes, ingredients, pro tips, wine pairings and a chance to ask questions.
The No-Show Ball will also honor Will Ferniany, Ph.D., chief executive officer of the UAB Health System and the UAB/Ascension St. Vincent’s Health System Alliance, and his commitment and dedication to the health of all Alabamians and celebrate his retirement at the end of 2021.
