Theatre UAB presents “The Caucasian Chalk Circle”

When an infant is abandoned by the governor’s wife during a military coup, servant girl Grusha rescues the child and risks her life for his protection. When the child is reclaimed by his opportunistic mother the question arises: Who has parental rights, the woman who gives a child life, or the one who sustains it? Shows at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 5 through Saturday, Oct. 8, with a 2 p.m. matinee Sunday Oct. 9, in UAB’s Alys Stephens Center Sirote Theatre, 1200 10th Ave. South.
