The celebration includes events such as panel discussions, cooking classes and sports, hosted by various schools and departments.

Community Month is a monthlong celebration of UAB’s commitment to diversity, equity and inclusion through a variety of activities planned to engage students, faculty, staff and the broader community. Many of these events allow departments and organizations to showcase their diversity efforts through presentations, lectures and performances. Others will allow participants to take part in critical dialogues and collaborate with local community partners.

In light of COVID-19, many of the events on this year’s Community Month calendar are virtual. To view this year’s activities, visit https://www.uab.edu/dei/cace/campus-engagement/community-month.
