UAB Mathematics to host site for 2023 Math Kangaroo competition

The University of Alabama at Birmingham’s Department of Mathematics in the College of Arts and Sciences will be a host site for the 2023 Math Kangaroo, an annual, international competition for students in grades 1-12.

Math Kangaroo is held every year in more than 77 countries. All students in grades 1-12 qualify for participation in Math Kangaroo if they can work independently, read and answer a multiple-choice test. In 2022, more than 30,000 students competed in the test.

In 2023, the competition will be held March 16. Space is limited, and registration closes Dec. 15, 2022. Students who wish to participate should register online at www.mathkangaroo.org and choose UAB as the host site.
