School of Engineering master's programs ranked by U.S. News & World Report

U.S. News & World Report, in its first survey of Best Online Programs for Veterans ranks the University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB) School of Engineering master’s programs fifth in the nation. They are the only programs in the state of Alabama to be ranked in any category.

The programs recognized are Advanced Safety Engineering and Management (ASEM), Construction Engineering Management (CEM) and Information Engineering and Management (IEM). All are available totally online.

The three programs participate in the Yellow Ribbon Program and are certified by the Montgomery G.I. Bill in an effort to reduce school costs for veterans. They also qualify for the ranking because UAB is a member of the Servicemembers Opportunity Colleges (SOC) Consortium and because they were previously ranked in U.S. News 2013 Best Online Education Programs.
