With several UAB Athletics games scheduled, the Athletic Department and the Student Activities Council will offer UAB fans a Blazer Block Party in conjunction with Springfest this Saturday, April 11, with family-friendly activities including carnival games, face painting, inflatables and more.
The event was created to bring all fans together during several sporting events taking place on campus the same day. It is free and open to the public.
Springfest is an annual event hosted by the UAB Student Activities Council to celebrate the end of the school year. The Blazer Block Party is hosted by the Athletic Department. Events will be held from 11 a.m.-4 p.m. on the west side of campus across from Young Memorial Field and the UAB Softball Field.
Featured athletic events include a UAB Softball doubleheader against Louisiana Tech beginning at 1 p.m. and a baseball game against Rice at 2 p.m. The UAB Soccer Alumni game is also scheduled to take place at 2 p.m.
