UAB Unite Day brings together alumni and students to serve the Birmingham community by working at events organized by two local nonprofit organizations.
The new deputy director of UAB’s Pan American Health Organization/World Health Organization Collaborating Center for International Nursing believes “think globally, act locally” should be way of life for everyone at the UAB School of Nursing.
For this student-led, citywide day of service, organized by the UAB Leadership and Service Council, hundreds of student volunteers participate each fall and spring to serve at sites throughout Birmingham.

UAB’s Student Involvement and Leadership organization will host its third Birmingham 101 event, a series focusing on Birmingham high schools and ties to UAB, this time focusing on A.H. Parker High School and the surrounding community.

To participate, drop off your tax-deductible donations of clean suits, jackets, skirts, shirts, dresses, casual pants, formal prom dresses, shoes, handbags, accessories and toiletries at any of several campus locations.
Through a partnership with United Way of Central Alabama and PNC Bank, UAB students combine classroom skills with real-world lessons to provide free income-tax filing help to lower-income people.
