This research analyzes the oral health of geriatric and pediatric patients in Southeast Alaska.
The project is supported by a $3.4 million appropriation from the state of Alabama to develop this first-of-its-kind model to address the shortage of dental health providers in rural Alabama. The clinic will help prepare the next generation of dentists committed to practicing in rural Alabama.
The expansion is one part of a larger renovation of the SOD facilities that includes improvements to the spaces for walk-in emergency patients, treatment planning, waiting rooms, business office space and office areas.
