Broberg, winner of the 2021 American Pianists Award, will perform works by Medtner, Fauré and Schumann.

The College of Arts and Sciences’ Department of Music will present a full season of concerts with in-person audiences for the first time since March of 2020.
The UAB Piano Series will present Asiya Korepanova on Oct. 10, Marina Lomazov on Jan. 23, 2022, and Kenny Broberg on March 27, 2022.
This event has been canceled. On the program for Liu’s Birmingham performance are Schumann’s Arabesque Op. 18, Schubert’s Six Musical Moments, Op. 94, and Brahms’ Piano Sonata No. 3, Op. 5.
The UAB Department of Music will present student, faculty and guest artist recitals, the third annual PRISM concert March 30, and for the first time, student winners of the Concerto/Aria Competition in concert with the Alabama Symphony Orchestra.

Schein, dubbed “one of the premier Chopin pianists of our time,” will perform an all-Chopin program for her UAB Piano Series performance.

The UAB Piano Series brings the world’s finest pianists to Birmingham and is directed by UAB Distinguished Professor of Piano Yakov Kasman, a Van Cliburn medalist.
The UAB Department of Music this fall will present “Chamber Music @ AEIVA,” pianist Asiya Korepanova, Amicitia Duo, “Arias and Art Songs,” and more.
From the United States to Europe, these professors from the departments of Art and Art History, Music, and Theatre are in demand.
On the program for Yeol Eum Son’s 7 p.m. performance are 24 Preludes op. 28 by Chopin and 13 Preludes op. 32 by Rachmaninoff. 
Lugansky, who has performed for sold-out audiences at UAB, will perform works by Debussy, Scriabin and Rachmaninoff.
Highlights include pianists Nikolai Lugansky and Yeol Eum Son, the Department of Music PRISM concert, and “Chamber Music @ AEIVA.”
On the program are selections by Bach-Busoni, Clementi, Franck-Bauer, Wagner-Liszt and Ravel.

Kenneth Broberg was silver medalist at the 15th Van Cliburn International Piano Competition.
The concert with Sahun Hong has been canceled and will not be rescheduled this semester.
The UAB Department of Music will present pianists Sahun Hong and Kenneth Broberg, annual trumpet and clarinet symposiums, and dozens of free performances.
On the program for Rachel Kudo’s performance is Beethoven’s 32 Variations in C minor; Schubert 4 Impromptus Op. 90; Mendelssohn’s Andante and Rondo Capriccioso Op. 14; and Schumann’s Carnaval Op. 90.
