Joly is a cardiologist and assistant professor at the UAB School of Medicine. She treats patients with life-threatening heart conditions and pulmonary hypertension, and has a special interest in mechanical circulatory support and transplant cardiology.

She believes in educating the public about both cardiovascular disease and wellness, including the benefits of routine exercise and dietary veganism.
