Liber is an expert on the Ukraine and its relations with Russia. In his recent book, “Total Wars and the Making of Modern Ukraine, 1914-1954” Liber discusses how the two world wars, the Holodomor and the Holocaust played played critical roles in forming today’s Ukraine.
