Pamboukian is an expert on end-stage cardiomyopathy, cardiac transplantation and mechanical circulatory support. She directed the nation's first and only federally supported national registry for patients who are receiving mechanical circulatory support device therapy to treat advanced heart failure.
Pamboukian also serves as the director of the UAB Women's Heart Health Clinic. Her current research focuses on racial and gender outcomes in heart failure and cardiac transplantation.
