Hays is a psychologist specialized in the treatment of adults who have experienced traumas such as fractures, burns and amputations. She is an expert in helping her patients cope with depression, anxiety, substance abuse and trauma and stressor-disorders such as PTSD.
Hay's research focuses on understanding the underlying cognitive processes that lead to substance abuse disorders.
