McClintock to lecture on climate change at special forum

The marine biologist will discuss the changing polar ecosystem at an event Sept. 28.

James McClintock, Ph.D., Endowed Professor of Polar and Marine Biology in the UAB Department of Biology, will be the featured lecturer at the Theodore Haddin Arts and Sciences Forum.

The presentation, Lost Antarctica: How Climate Change is Rewriting the Book on Polar Ecosystems, is about the rapid changes taking place in the polar ecosystem and how these changes are causing observable ecological impacts at all ecosystem levels, including society. The event is 11:30 a.m.-1 p.m. Friday, Sept. 28, 2012, in Heritage Hall 524, 1401 University Boulevard.
