Mönkemüller honored by professional journal

Mönkemüller was awarded the prize for best peer reviewer of the journal Endoscopy.

Klaus Mönkemüller, M.D., Ph.D., FASGE, professor in the University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB) Division of Gastroenterology and Hepatology and medical director of the Basil I. Hirschowitz Endoscopic Center of Excellence at UAB, was awarded the prize for best peer reviewer of the journal Endoscopy during the United European Gastroenterology Week recently held in Amsterdam.

Mönkemüller is an innovator and pioneer in gastrointestinal endoscopy and is sitting on the editorial boards of several top gastrointestinal journals, including Gastrointestinal Endoscopy, Endoscopy, Clinical Gastroenterology and Hepatology, and the Scandinavian Journal of Gastroenterology. This is the fourth time he has been honored as a top reviewer for some of these journals.
