The University of Alabama System Board of Trustees approved the establishment of the Sylvia Aaron Endowed Support Fund for Cancer Patients during its meeting June 14, 2013. The fund will benefit patients of the University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB) Comprehensive Cancer Center who are facing demonstrable financial hardship to help offset the cost of their treatment.
