Facebook chief security officer to kick off CIA|JFR Cyber Summit 2013

"Facebook's Top Cop" will be the keynote speaker at the summit.

The University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB) Center for Information Assurance and Joint Forensics Research (CIA|JFR) Cyber Summit 2013 will begin Tuesday, Feb. 12, 2013, with a keynote address from Joe Sullivan, chief security officer of Facebook. Forbes magazine has called Sullivan “Facebook’s Top Cop.” The two-day event will discuss health information security, cloud security, insider threats, digital forensics and more.

Lecturers from UAB will include Gary Warner, director of Research in Computer Forensics, and John Grimes, a 29 year veteran of military counter-intelligence and director of intelligence analytics, as well as renowned UAB Egyptologist Sarah Parcak, Ph.D. Parcak was named to the 2012 class of National Geographic Emerging Explorers and is known around the world for using satellite imagery to discover lost sites in Egypt and Rome. She is the newest addition to the CIA|JFR team.
