Joining in unity during a time when college marching bands have been forced to the sidelines, the IMB will keep the spirit alive by performing virtually together.

Football isn't the only team returning to Legion Field. Fresh off two years representing UAB across the country and overseas, the Marching Blazers have a new look and a new leader. Director Sean Murray and some band members offer a glimpse of the excitement in store for Blazer fans this fall.
Sean Murray will begin his role leading the UAB Marching Blazers in May.  He comes to UAB from Florida Atlantic University.
A group of 65 students and three faculty members will travel to Milan, Pisa, Florence and Rome, where they will tour the cities and march in the parade, which draws tens of thousands to celebrate and receive the Pope’s New Year’s Day blessing.

The 200-member-strong band is rehearsing its show of hit soundtrack tunes, “Hollywood,” for performances at UAB football games, exhibitions and parades. 

Coming up for the Marching Blazers in 2015 are performances on the USS Missouri at Pearl Harbor and elsewhere in Honolulu from March 21-28.
