The University of Alabama System Board of Trustees appointed Steven M. Pogwizd, M.D., to the renamed Featheringill Endowed Chair in Cardiac Arrhythmia Research in the UAB School of Medicine during its meeting April 8, 2011. The former name was the Featheringill Endowed Professorship for Cardiac Arrhythmia Research in the Division of Cardiovascular Disease in the Department of Medicine in the UAB School of Medicine.
