Bae selected for Most Promising Multicultural Student Program, first in UAB history

College of Arts and Sciences senior is the first UAB student to be selected for this nationwide advertising event.

Bae2Hannah Bae Hannah Bae, a senior in the University of Alabama at Birmingham’s College of Arts and Sciences, has been selected to the American Advertising Federation’s Most Promising Multicultural Student Program. Bae is the first UAB student to be chosen for this honor.

More than 160 AAF college chapters have students apply for the program each year. Bae is one of 50 students selected nationwide for the class of 2020.

From Vestavia Hills, Alabama, Bae is a fourth-year student in the UAB Honors College University Honors Program. She is majoring in mass communication with a concentration on public relations and a minor in public health. She is also simultaneously pursuing a master’s degree in health care organization and policy. 

During her time at UAB, Bae has served as president of UAB’s chapter of the Public Relations Student Society of America and as a student leader in the UAB Student Multicultural and Diversity Programs.  

The Most Promising Multicultural Student Program, which will be entering its 24th year, is part of the AAF’s efforts to promote diversity and inclusion within the industry.
