Allyson Hall joins CAHME board of directors

Hall’s research focuses on improving access to high-quality health care among vulnerable populations including low income individuals and people living with a disability or chronic health condition.

Hall2Allyson Hall, Ph.D.The Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Management Education has recently announced that Allyson Hall, Ph.D., University of Alabama at Birmingham professor in the Department of Health Services Administration, joined the CAHME Board of Directors on July 1, 2020. 

Hall is director of the UAB graduate programs in healthcare quality and safety in the School of Health Professions. Her research focuses on improving access to high-quality health care among vulnerable populations including low income individuals and people living with a disability or chronic health condition. Her current research activities also includes reducing care fragmentation and the use of health care technology to improve quality of care. She has a long-standing interest in Medicaid.

In addition to the CAHME board, Hall serves as an associate editor for the Journal for Healthcare Quality. She earned her Ph.D. in health policy from the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health and her Master of Health Administration  from the University of Florida.

Hall has played a significant role in the creation of the Healthcare Quality and Safety Accreditation process at CAHME. Her leadership and commitment to improving the educational process of master’s programs will have a long-term impact on programs globally.
