The University of Alabama System Board of Trustees appointed Sumanth D. Prabhu, M.D., to the Mary Gertrude Waters Chair of Cardiovascular Medicine at UAB during its meeting Feb. 3, 2012. Prabhu is the director of the Division of Cardiovascular Disease and a professor of medicine in the UAB School of Medicine.
Prabhu will hold a chair in cardiovascular medicine.
