Donna Slovensky, Ph.D., received the Literacy Legacy Award for her contributions to the field from the American Health Information Management Association during its annual AHIMA Triumph Awards ceremony.
Slovensky, professor and associate dean of Academic and Student Affairs in UAB’s School of Health Professions, has written and edited numerous book chapters and journals.
She now is engaged as a co-editor of the forthcoming “Handbook of Healthcare Management Research.”
