The UAB Expo celebrates excellence in research, creative activity and scholarship by showcasing the academic endeavors of undergraduate students. 
Research expos are held every semester to showcase the scholarly research work of undergraduate students across disciplines that include basic sciences, social sciences, engineering, health and medicine.
Researchers have hired local community health care workers to collect samples from children for testing — and will provide treatment — if it is found that children living in several Alabama Black Belt counties are infected with hookworm, and related intestinal infections.
Undergraduate research students from across the country competed in UAB’s Summer Research Expo in July.
The new on-campus food bank for UAB employees and students facing food insecurity will be open Monday 11 a.m.-3 p.m. and Thursday 3-6 p.m.
