UAB’s Better Breathers Club has announced their slate of meetings for 2013. The Better Breathers Club is a community based effort to offer support for pulmonary patients and their families. BBC allows them to meet and learn about their condition from concerned health care professionals in a supportive environment.
The Better Breathers Club promotes self-management of COPD and other chronic lung diseases, while offering a sense of belonging and community.
The club meets every two months, 3:30-4:30 p.m. at the first floor boardroom of UAB Highlands Hospital, 1201 11th Ave.
Upcoming meeting dates are: Feb. 13, April 10, June 12, Aug. 14, Oct. 9, Dec. 11, 2013.
