The UAB Trumpet Ensemble has been selected and invited to perform at the prestigious International Trumpet Guild Conference, May 23-26, 2012, at Columbus State University. The ensemble is directed by UAB Department of Music faculty James Zingara, D.M.A., and Steve Roberts, D.M.A.
Each year, ITG highlights top collegiate trumpet ensemble programs as prelude concerts for world-class headliner performances. UAB’s performance will feature two world premiere compositions by UAB Music’s William Price, D.M.A, and Huntsville composer Bryan Page plus a new transcription by UAB Music’s Steve Roberts, D.M.A.
The annual ITG Conference features the world’s greatest trumpet and brass artists and is the trumpet event of the year.
