Three UAB Hospital nurses recognized for excellence by AACN

critical care nurseThe Greater Birmingham Chapter of the American Association of Critical Care Nurses recently honored UAB Hospital critical care nurses Jeanne Dockery, Christopher Rhodes and Julie Tyrrell at this year’s Awards and Certification Celebration, recognizing the trio for excellence in their field.

The AACN recognizes the excellence of nurses as a professional organization and the contributions of nurses that help optimize patient outcomes annually; honorees are nominated by their peers. “These three nurses all demonstrate the courageous care and excellence in nursing UAB is known to provide,” said Cheri Plasters, secretary of the AACN and transplant and general surgical services nurse in the Surgical Intensive Care Unit at UAB.
