sue bell cobbFormer chief justice of the Alabama Supreme Court Sue Bell Cobb will speak at UAB on Wednesday, April 12 at 11:00 a.m. in Heritage Hall Room 121.

Cobb will speak on the topic, “Lawyers Make a Difference: Inspiring Professionalism in the Practice of Law.” Cobb was the first woman to be elected as Alabama’s chief justice and served from 2007 to 2011. Prior to being elected chief justice, Cobb served as a judge on the Alabama Court of Criminal Appeals, trial judge, district court judge.

The event, hosted by the UAB College of Arts and Sciences Department of Government, is free and open to the public.
