UAB Summer Camps

All programs are required to register with UAB’s Youth Protection Office. Registration includes UAB hosted or sponsored camps as well as camps using UAB facilities (such as coach run camps). About: Young writers will find inspiration, guidance and support to express their ideas and each day will work closely with nationally recognized authors and teachers. Limited to just 30 students, the workshop encourages discussion and the exchange of ideas in small groups and one-on-one. Each week, students explore a different genre, such as poetry, fiction, memoir, magazine production and more. Students will explore and find inspiration in Birmingham’s rich culture and history and draw inspiration from virtual field trips, creative activities and presentations.
