BIRMINGHAM, Ala. - The University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB) Department of Music's Music Technology Academy will offer summer courses for teachers with two one-week sessions.
Teachers will learn to use technology in the music classroom while earning up to 30 professional development hours and nationally recognized certification with the Technology Institute for Music Educators (TI:ME).
Session one, planned for May 31-June 4, will feature notation, instruments and sequencing. Session two, planned for June 7-11, will feature instructional software and multimedia. The cost is $395 per one-week session. The courses will take place in UAB's Hulsey Center for the Arts, 950 13th St. South.
