BIRMINGHAM, Ala. - The University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB) Global and Community Leadership Honors Program Lecture Series will present a discussion by Birmingham News metro columnist John Archibald Wednesday, April 14 from 3 to 4 p.m. in Heritage Hall Room 102, 1401 University Blvd. Admission is free. Archibald will present a lecture about city, country and state government and tell how citizens can affect change in their communities.

As a columnist, Archibald examines everything from local politics and public corruption to the quirks of daily life in the metro area. During his 23-year career at The Birmingham News, he has worked as an investigative reporter and as a political beat reporter. Archibald also is a weekly commentator on 90.3 WBHM-FM.
