The University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB) Department of Supplier Diversity will present a mini-trade show, “Making Business Opportunities Happen,” Tuesday, April 27 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the UAB Hospital North Pavilion Atrium, 1802 Sixth Ave. South. The event is free. UAB department managers, supervisors, buyers and the general public are invited to attend.

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. - The University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB) Department of Supplier Diversity will present a mini-trade show, "Making Business Opportunities Happen," Tuesday, April 27 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the UAB Hospital North Pavilion Atrium, 1802 Sixth Ave. South. The event is free. UAB department managers, supervisors, buyers and the general public are invited to attend.

Small business owners who are minorities, women, veterans or disadvantaged and entrepreneurs with certified historically underutilized businesses will have their products for sale at the trade show. Items will include promotional products, art, jewelry, cosmetics, magazines, community newspapers and more. Graphic designers and trophy and awards manufacturers also will have items for sale. Organizers say the mini-trade show will become an annual event.

The UAB Department of Supplier Diversity was established in 1987 to ensure that all vendors have better access to and knowledge of UAB's procurement system.
