A call for entries has been issued for the first alumni open exhibition at the University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB) Visual Arts Gallery. To participate, entrants must have graduated from UAB with a bachelor of art degree (in studio art) or a bachelor of fine arts degree (in studio or graphic design).

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. - A call for entries has been issued for the first alumni open exhibition at the University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB) Visual Arts Gallery. To participate, entrants must have graduated from UAB with a bachelor of art degree (in studio art) or a bachelor of fine arts degree (in studio or graphic design).

The exhibition is planned for Oct. 15-Nov. 6 in the gallery, 950 13th St. South. Admission to the gallery is free. Call 205-934-0815 for more information.

Alumni may submit only one work for exhibition. All works must be the original creative work of the artist; no reproductions. Click here for specific guidelines and an artwork submission form. Submissions will be accepted Wednesday, Oct. 6 through Friday, Oct. 8. Early and/or late submissions will not be accepted under any circumstances.

About the UAB Visual Arts Gallery

The UAB Visual Arts Gallery showcases both historical and contemporary artworks by local, regional, national and international artists. Its exhibitions highlight works by faculty and students, as well as emerging and established artists, in as many as a dozen regularly changing shows that always are free and open to the public.
