Oral hygiene practices in stroke survivors with dysphagia

Biography

Prior to entering the PhD program, Mr. Brewer worked in a hospital for many years and served in multiple roles including: staff nurse, ACLS & PALS Coordinator, and ER nurse educator. Currently, he is an assistant professor of nursing at the University of North Alabama and teaches adult health nursing, introduction to professional nursing, and is a capstone advisor. His research focus is on ischemic strokes and oral hygiene is executed in persons with dysphagia.
