University of Alabama at Birmingham School of Nursing alumna Lora A. Lankford, RN, BSN, MA, CCM, has published her third book, m-GAP: A Solution for American National Comprehensive Healthcare Coverage, KEEP IT SIMPLE. The book analyzes government-funded health care programs in America and discusses measures for improvement.
Lankford has been a Registered Nurse for 29 years and developed an interest in health policy and politics during her time studying for her Master of Health Services Management degree.
“My goal became to find solutions to lessen the American burden of the high costs of health care and find solutions to increase the health of the population in efficient ways,” she said.
“My newest book discusses the Affordable Care Act, why it did not fully implement and suggested changes to solve many of its issues. It also compares and contrasts American health care policy with two international systems.”
Lankford has also authored Education Malpractice: My Four Year Journey Through an Online University, What Every Adult Learner Should Know Before Registering for Class and The 30-Year Looking Glass: America’s Healthcare System; Strategies For Reform.
Lankford earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the UAB School of Nursing in 1992.
