A postdoctoral research position in stem cell biology is available in an NIH-funded laboratory in the Department of Biomedical Engineering, School of Medicine, University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB). Candidates should have a PhD or MD degree with experience and expertise in molecular biology, biochemistry, epigenetics, and stem cell biology. Experience with cellular reprogramming and cardiovascular biology is a plus, but not required. The successful candidate will study the molecular mechanisms of cellular reprogramming, molecular regulation of pluripotency, and self-renewal of human pluripotent stem cells (Nature Communication, 2016, 7:10869; Cell Reports, 2016, 16(12):3138-3145; Blood, 2011, 117(14):e109-e119; Science, 2009, 324(5928):797-801; Stem Cells and Development, 2014(12):1285-1300).
