Job Title:  Postdoctoral Fellow

We are searching for a bioformaticist/experimentalist with expertise in multiple genetic animal model systems (one of which must be mouse).  This position will support the development of multiple model organisms via computational (“dry lab”) approaches by conducting database searches (WormBase, FlyBase, ZFIN, MGI, Ensembl, etc.) to identify available genetic resources (e.g. DNA clones, libraries, constructs, targeting vectors, ES cell lines, Cre-expressing lines), as well as hands on experimental (“wet lab”) approaches to create reagents and models as needed.

Minimum requirements: Ph.D. in genetics, bioinformatics, or relevant disciplines with a solid understanding of genetics & molecular & cellular biology approaches; excellent oral and written communication skills; and a desire to interact with multiple research teams. Proficiency in mouse genetics, sequence analysis and in silico DNA manipulation is a must. Graduate students expecting their doctoral degree shortly are also encouraged to apply. Although not required, the ideal candidate will also have working experience with rats, zebrafish, or drosophila.
