The Collaborative Computing Lab in the Department of Computer Science at the University of Alabama at Birmingham is accepting applications for a postdoctoral position in the area of High Performance Computing from candidates with strong background in parallel computing, performance optimization, and source-to-source transformations.

The successful candidate is expected to: (1) design and prototype source-to-source transformations to improve the fault-tolerance behavior of parallel applications; (2) design and evaluate performance optimizations of parallel applications using source-to-source transformations; and (3) author technical and scientific reports and papers, and deliver scientific presentations at conferences.

The successful candidate must have a Ph.D. in Computer Science or a closely related field. Significant experience with high-performance computing and programming in C/C++, experience with performance optimizations, and experience using ROSE source-to-source compiler infrastructure is required for this position.

The appointment is for one year and provides a competitive salary with benefits.
