Fall enrollment at the University of Alabama at Birmingham is at a record high for the fifth consecutive year; figures released today show a year-to-year total enrollment increase of 3.6 percent, up to 18,568 from 17,999 in the fall of 2012.

Increases were seen from 2012 among freshmen, transfer students, undergraduates and master’s-level students: the freshmen class increased 5.8 percent to 1,773 students; incoming transfer students increased 10 percent to 1,397; and master’s-level enrollment increased 8.7 percent to 4,650 students.
