Join UAB Human Resources for Meet HR and Friends 11 a.m.-1 p.m. April 22 on the Campus Green to meet representatives from Human Resources and other UAB departments and learn about their services, plus participate in giveaways and games, win prizes, and attend a dance party at the end of the event.
“This event will allow everyone an opportunity to come together, get to know one another a little more and learn about different areas of UAB, which work with our faculty and staff,” said Chief Human Resources Officer Janet May. “We are very excited to be able to connect in person with the faculty, staff and students of UAB.”

Additionally, Birmingham chef Chris Hastings will host a cooking demonstration using items from the LiveHealthSmart Mobile Market at 11:30 a.m., and BlazeRadio will be on site with a live DJ. Food trucks will be available, including Dirty Red, which will make a gift to the UAB Benevolent Fund based on sales; Magic City Eats, which will offer a $5 special including a hot dog, chips and canned drink; and Dough My Gosh, which will sell one scoop of edible cookie dough for $4 and two for $6.
Those interested in an opportunity to showcase their basketball skills can participate in a free-throw challenge benefiting the Benevolent Fund for a $2 donation.
In case of inclement weather, the event will be held in University Recreation Center Court 1.
