A beautiful campus is a decades-old tradition

univ median retro insideIn 1979, a member of the UAB grounds staff kept the grass cut along what was then known as Eighth Avenue South — the east-west pathway through UAB’s central campus renamed University Boulevard in 1981.

Today, UAB grounds staff continue to keep our campus beautiful, from annual spring blooms to quiet hidden oases tucked away between buildings. If you love UAB’s scenic campus, send thanks to our Facilities staff. UAB Facilities Campus Services and Grounds crew works hard every day to keep UAB beautiful.
